Professional Profile

Ms. Demeri has over seventeen years of experience in the Design industry.   Her knowledge is a culmination of a very diversified background, which includes space planning, material selection, color coordination, and furniture design services.  She has taken this knowledge of interior design and applied it to the area of environmental design, by working with the special needs of residents who live in flood hazard areas.  Ms. Demeri is currently working on various environmental projects for several villages on Long Island which relate to flood remediation, road repair, and drainage issues.

Ms. Demeri has taught Interior Design at Herrick’s High School Continuing Education.  She also shared her knowledge as a design critic for design students at the New York Institute of Technology.  Ms. Demeri holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the New York Institute of Technology.

  • Working on environmental design projects.  Helped attain grant moneys and procure lower flood insurance rates for residents.

 Incorporated Village of Bayville

  • Secretary to the Mayor and Board of Trustees.  Along with expected secretarial duties, responsibilities included keeping minutes at Village Board meetings; scheduling meetings; securing bids for Village Capital Improvement projects; and coordinating those projects with Engineers, Contractors, and Village residents.
