Professional Profile

A co-founder of ETG, Mr. Seevers is an Environmental Hydrologist with over 35 years experience in domestic and international consulting. He is an expert in the remediation of contaminated ground and surface water, and the regulations that govern the water’s monitoring and restoration. He also holds the honor of being an original member of one of the nation’s pioneering water resource/environmental consulting firms, Geraghty & Miller.

Mr. Seevers had lead responsibility for litigation support pertaining to Superfund litigation in Concord, New Hampshire, for the Ottati and Goss Generators Group. He also served as a technical adviser and expert witness on behalf of the Bureau of Reclamation, on landmark litigation for ownership of irrigation return water in the Grand Coulee region of Central Washington.

His international experience includes working on water supply, environmental compliance and waste minimization projects in Egypt, Ireland, Slovakia, Puerto Rico, the British Virgin Islands, Brazil and Croatia. His project work in Egypt included water supply and development, for projects in Suez City and Sadat City. He has also carried out water supply studies for Pfizer International in Ireland and Brazil. In addition, he has also worked on waste minimization and pollution prevention projects for the World Environment Center in Slovakia.

Mr. Seevers is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Environmental and Mechanical Technology Department at the New York Institute of Technology, where he teaches courses in groundwater hydrology. He is actively involved in environmental training and seminars, and teaches hazardous waste management and sampling courses at New York University. He provides environmental training to Con Edison Engineers. He is a member of the Board of Directors and a past President of the Environmental Business Association of New York State. Mr. Seevers was also a member of the Long Island Ashfill Siting Board, aiding them in their search for an appropriate site location for a site on Long Island. Mr. Seevers is a graduate of the City College of New York and holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Geology and the University of Kansas Water Resources Institute where he earned a Masters Degree in Hydrology.

Representative Experience

Due Diligence Environmental Audits

·         Involved in number of due diligence environmental audits for real estate and financial transactions on Long Island, New York.

NYC Department of Sanitation

·         Conducted the original assessment on the effects of New York City landfills on surface and groundwater quality, including the assessment for the Pennsylvania and Fountain Avenues sites.

The Jamaica Water Company

·         Provided litigation support that focused on the effects of foundation dewatering for subway construction on groundwater availability and quality.

East Northport, NY Incinerator

·         Held pre-closing investigations of a selected site for the East Northport Incinerator. (Located next to the East Northport Landfill, a NYS Superfund site.)

·         Succeeded in apportioning responsibility for groundwater contamination, satisfying the lender’s questions on how the existing groundwater contamination plume beneath the incinerator site would be remediated.

·         Set baseline conditions for the site, prior to the construction of the incinerator.

·         Established an ongoing groundwater-monitoring program.


Univar Corporation

·         Project director for the environmental due diligence work that was carried out by the Univar Corporation, prior to the purchase of a number of the North American properties of the McKesson Corporation.

·         Evaluated multiple sites where groundwater and soil remediation activities were underway.

Signature Aviation

·         Provided consulting services for the remediation of an airport site in Florida.

General Electric Company

·         Provided consulting services for an airfield and aircraft engine maintenance facility south of Wichita, Kansas.

Ontario Waste Management Council

·         Member of a study team that provided project support for Gartner Lee, Ltd. on a project for the Ontario Waste Management Council concerning hazardous and solid waste planning.

·         Provided support to the project on the correspondence between governing US and Canadian environmental regulations.
